Vortex Diamondback 12x50 DB-217 Binocular
I was very pleased with the purchase. The glass optics are superb and the focussing ring is responsive with little rotation required to alter focus. I like the light weight, water proofing, rubberised grip and lens caps which are ideal for use in wet bush, rain, salt spray et cetera. The binocular suits all my uses; aircraft, shorebirds, mountains, fishing at sea, sport. The pupil separation adjustment is very tight as the barrels have to be swung hard together to achieve the one image. I would advise others to visit SkippersMate to experience their options before purchasing. Kind regards to vendor and clients - Walter

12x50 vortex diamondback hd
Pretty happy with these. Read a lot of stuff from people saying I'd need a tripod for these to be steady. Nonsense. These are easy to look through on the eyes, clarity is great. Look the part as well. Love the harness they came with. Seems very practical to me All in all I don't think I could have gotten a better set of binoculars for the same price. Even for a few hundred dollars extra I don't think I could have found a match to these. Side by side I compared the 10x42 power Diamondbacks to a set of Zeiss binoculars of the same magnification and I didn't really notice a big difference between them really. So I'd choose the 12x over any 10x Zeiss I know that much
