Wherever you are at sea or on land, the rescueME PLB1 provides the reassurance that emergency services can be alerted by the press of a button.
The rescueMe PLB1 can be operated with a single hand in even the most challenging situations. A simple spring loaded flap covers the activation button preventing inadvertent use.
rescueME PLB1 works with the only officially recognised worldwide dedicated search and rescue satellite network (operated by Cospas Sarsat). As this is funded by governments there are NO CHARGES to use this service.
When activated , the rescueME PLB1 transmits your position and your ID to the Rescue Coordination Center in New Zealand via satellite link. Rescue services are promptly notified of your emergency and regularly advised of your current location.

Product is not clearly described
PLB is not showing clearly whether it is Australian or New Zealand. coded, question will never be answered. Bad service ************************************* Skippersmate Reply: Ryan, at the time of purchase, it is a compulsory tick in the box to acknowledge you are aware of it being Au Coded. The product description states that also. After purchase, all email communication (invoice/receipt) explains it is Au Coded and what to do with regards to registration. The PLB box is labelled Au registration as well. We have be selling them since Nov 2014 without issue with registration or activation in NZ. Contact communication: We don't hide behind a username, my name and phone number are all published on the store in About Us & Contact.
